Community Health Worker - Vision Screening

Conducting Rigorous Research

We test teacher-led mental healthcare (Tealeaf) to learn how to best implement and deliver care in the local context and at scale.

Supporting School Leaders

We provide tailored technical assistance to school and district leaders eager to integrate Tealeaf into their educational systems.

Phillipines

Department of Education, Manilla

The 2018 National Mental Health Act, Philippines seeks to integrate mental health into the education system. In Manilla, we are supporting Department of Education to adapt and pilot Tealeaf in 5 elementary schools. With the ultimate aim to scale teacher-led mental health across the District reaching 170,000 children in 73 public elementary schools.

North Carolina

Orange County Schools, North Carolina

We are teaming up with the UNC Suicide Prevention Institute to support the adaptation of Tealeaf for use in rural North Carolina middle schools. An initial randomized controlled trial is set to start in 2024 and will showcase how Broadleaf’s innovations from Darjeeling can positively impact American youth.
