Vadham Teas + Broadleaf: Announcing a new strategic partner

VAHDAM Teas and Broadleaf announce strategic partnership to bring health education to more communities in Northeast India.

Broadleaf is excited to introduce our new strategic partnernship with Vahdam Teas through Vahdam's TEAch Me program.

Vahdam Teas is India’s largest home-grown, award-winning global tea brand, and has pledged 1% of their revenue to support education in the tea growing communities that they call home. Vahdam's passion to improve the lives of tea workers and their families will allow Broadleaf to expand our Community Health and Hygeine Improvement Program to new schools and new communities, train additional School Health Activists, and support safe school reopenings.

The project will support children residing in the Gopaldhara, Jungpana, and Maldiram Tea Estates. In 2020-21, over 600 children are expected to benefit from the program which will deliver joyful health education, primary health care, and a healthy school environment. Additionally, with the continuation of the COVID-19 pandemic, schools will receive support in safely re-opening, rebuilding classroom community, and promoting the mental wellbeing of their students.
In future years, VAHDAM anticipates expanding the program to other tea communities along with additional investments in children’s educational outcomes. Ultimately, together VAHDAM, DLR Prerna, and Broadleaf will work together to transform health and education to create opportunities for every child to thrive.
